Al Alam Palace

Muscat, Muscat

The ceremonial palace of the Sultan, flanked by the Portuguese forts Al Jalali and Al Mirani. You can't go inside, but the facade — blue and gold columns against whitewashed walls — is one of the most photographed spots in Muscat.
