These terms govern your use of Wajd, a discovery platform for places and experiences across the Sultanate of Oman, and the Wajd Pass membership described on this site. By creating an account or subscribing to the Pass, you agree to these terms.
The service
Wajd publishes curated listings of places, experiences, stays, and food across Oman's governorates, and offers a paid membership, the Wajd Pass, that unlocks perks at partner venues.
Listings and perks depend on partner venues and may change or be withdrawn without notice. Wajd is not the operator of any partner venue and is not responsible for that venue's own products, services, or conduct.
Membership
The founding member rate is 10 OMR per month. This rate is locked in for as long as your membership stays active without a gap.
During this early phase of the service, billing is handled manually: our team will contact you directly to arrange payment rather than charging a card automatically. This will change as the platform matures, and we will notify members before it does.
You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and no partial refund is issued for time already elapsed.
Perks are subject to availability at the partner venue and to the monthly redemption limits stated for each perk. A Pass does not guarantee a table, a spot, or a specific item — it guarantees a discount or benefit if the venue can accommodate you.
Acceptable use
You agree not to scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract data from Wajd by automated means, and not to attempt to circumvent any access or rate limit we put in place.
You agree not to post or submit abusive, harassing, defamatory, or unlawful content through any feature of the platform, including reports, reviews, or support messages.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches this section, at our discretion, without owing a refund for the period already paid.
Outdoor and wadi safety
Many listings on Wajd describe outdoor locations, including wadis, mountains, and coastal areas. Conditions at these sites change quickly and without warning. Wadis in particular are subject to flash flooding, sometimes triggered by rain falling far from the site itself.
Wajd provides descriptive and orientation information only. It is not a safety authority, and a listing does not certify that a location is safe to visit at any particular time. You are responsible for checking current weather and local advisories, for your own judgment on site, and for the safety of anyone traveling with you.
Do not enter a wadi or riverbed when rain is falling or forecast, upstream or at the coast, and always follow instructions from the Royal Oman Police, Civil Defence, or on-site officials.
Limitation of liability
Wajd is provided on an as-is basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wajd and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform, a partner venue, or a listed location, including loss arising from the safety matters described above.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law of the Sultanate of Oman.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman. Any dispute arising from them falls under the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Sultanate of Oman.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. We will update the date above and, for material changes, notify members by email.
