Al-Khadhra is a small coastal village in wilayat Al Jazir, Al Wusta Governorate, lying about 20 kilometres from the wilayat centre between Al Kahl and Al Lakbi. The village sits right on the shore and is shaded by stands of samar acacia trees that local residents gather beneath. It has become known among Omanis for its cool summer weather, a rare relief along a coast that is usually hot for most of the year, drawing a small but appreciative stream of nature seeking visitors.
