Bait Al Manzifa Museum sits in the hillside village of Majzi in the Wilayat of Ibri, about sixty kilometres from the town centre, and is the first and only museum in Dhahirah Governorate. It occupies a family home more than a century old that owner Khalfan Al Memari restored to preserve the story of ancestors who lived through the reigns of Sultan Faisal bin Turki and Sultan Taimur bin Faisal. Its Al Bousaidi Hall holds around a hundred sultanate documents, alongside pottery, daggers, swords, copperware and women's jewellery gathered from across the region.

Old Ibri Souq sits in the heart of Ibri city in Ad Dhahirah Governorate, right beside the four hundred year old Ibri Fort. Livestock and sheep change hands here every morning, and the market follows an Islamic style layout that includes dedicated sections such as its gold shops. Local residents have long called for the souq to be restored, and a recent development proposal submitted to the governorate office envisions markets for dates, fish, produce, and livestock alongside a hotel and gardens overlooking the surrounding farms.

East of Ibri, Jabal Al Sarah climbs to roughly two thousand five hundred metres, the highest plateau in Al Dhahirah governorate, with a summer climate mild enough that temperatures rarely pass twenty five degrees. In winter the mountain turns properly cold, and on its harshest nights the water collected in its pools has been recorded freezing solid alongside frosted leaves and snow dusted rock, a rare sight anywhere in Oman. The plateau is reached via Al Hajar and Wadi Al Ain, or through Bahla and Wadi Ghoul toward Al Hamra, and is dotted with small inhabited villages. The unpaved approach roads keep it far from the usual tourist trail, which is part of its appeal to those chasing an unusual winter scene.

Ghadhif Cave is a small shelter cave, roughly 15 by 10 meters, set along Wadi Fadha in the wilayat of Dhank, Ad Dhahirah. Its walls carry faded red rock art, likely made from iron oxide pigment, showing figures that may depict hunting, ceremonies, or celebrations from thousands of years ago. The cave itself was carved out during a wetter prehistoric period when rainfall dissolved the surrounding limestone, and it remains largely overlooked next to the better known caves of Ad Dakhiliyah, like Al Hoota and Al Kittan.

Al Waqbah is a mountain village in the wilayat of Yanqul, Ad Dhahirah, tucked among the towering peaks of the Western Hajar range. The town is built around Wadi Biha and Wadi Al Arashi, whose clear spring fed pools and shaded rest spots draw visitors, alongside old stone houses that still show off traditional Omani craftsmanship. Nearby mountain caves add another reason for hikers to make the trip out to this quiet corner of the Dhahirah.

Al Muneikh Fort stands at the center of Dhank in Ad Dhahirah governorate, its three towers, main gate, majlis, and storerooms spread across roughly 1,200 square meters. The Ministry of Heritage and Culture restored the fort starting in 2013, keeping its original mud, sarooj, and stone construction while adding modern touches like electricity, restrooms, and access for visitors with disabilities. It reopened to the public in 2016 as one of the proudest historic landmarks in Dhank.
