Muqal Cave is a natural limestone cave tucked into Wadi Bani Khalid, about a kilometre up the wadi and roughly 500 metres from the main freshwater pools, in Ash Sharqiyah North. It has two entrances and a moderate scramble inside, which adventurous visitors often combine with a swim in the wadi's turquoise pools. It is one of the best known among the thousands of caves scattered across Oman's interior.

Wadi Hawer lies in Bid'ah village within the wilayat of Wadi Bani Khalid, close to the famous Wadi Bani Khalid it is often compared to. Visitors describe its water as clearer and colder than its well known neighbor, with a deep pool carved into the rock reaching around twenty meters. It remains a quieter alternative for travelers exploring the wadis of North Sharqiyah.

Bait Al Turath wal Thaqafa Museum sits in the historic village of Al Mudhairib, wilayat Al Qabil, North Ash Sharqiyah Governorate. Sheikh Ali bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Harthi built it out of his own personal devotion to Omani heritage, filling its halls with antique rifles and swords, old coins and currency, vintage postal stamps, silver and gold jewellery, manuscripts, and samples of traditional crafts such as basketry, metalwork, leather and woodwork. What began as one man's private collection has grown into a small museum that keeps the memory of the region alive.
