North Al Batinah

North Al Batinah runs along the Gulf of Oman from Sohar down, a flat coastal stretch of fishing villages, banana and mango farms, and one of the region's biggest ports. Sohar's fort and old quarter hint at a longer history — this coast was trading copper before most Gulf cities existed.
