Dhofar

From June to September, khareef turns Salalah green while the rest of the Gulf bakes — springs like Ayn Athum run, the coast fogs over, and the frankincense trees that made Dhofar famous line the hills behind town. Outside khareef, it's a different trip entirely: dry, quiet, and closer to the Yemen border than anywhere else in Oman.
